Josh Kesler, Senior Pastor
Josh became the founding pastor of The Well established on September 13, 2009. Josh has a bachelor's degree from Huntington University in Theater and also holds a Masters degree in Pastoral Ministries From Huntington University. Josh does not have the talent or looks to be a world class Rock Star or professional athlete but he has the heart of both. Josh has a beautiful wife Molly. Together they have 2 girls, Lily Mae born in 1999 and Maisy Jane who joined them in 2002. Prior to planting The Well, Josh was the Sr. Pastor of Good Shepherd UB Church. Before moving to Indiana in 2008, Josh was the Pastor of Men's Ministry at Eagle Brook Church in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. Josh and his family were in Minnesota for 3 years and prior to that he was the Sr. Pastor at Bethel UB Church in Elmore, Ohio.
Molly Edgel, Ministry Coordinator
Molly and her husband Jeff have been attending The Well since close to the beginning. Since then, they have done their part to add to the Children's Ministry numbers with their three children: Jetty, Anthem and River. Some of Molly's ministry passions include: serving her church, growing with her small group, shepherding her children, rooting for her husband. She is almost always up for a heart to heart and she wants to be a cheerleader for the church folks at The Well. She has a degree from Huntington University in Math Education, but despite the stereotype is not a human calculator.
Chelsey Wiley, Children's Ministry Coordinator
Chelsey started attending The Well in January 2015 and joined the staff in April 2017. She is currently a first-grade teacher at Roanoke Elementary school. Her husband, Mark, is an attorney and they have a son, Parker, whom was born in November 2016. Previous to her time at the Well, she and Mark lived in Indianapolis for three years while Mark completed his law degree at IU Indianapolis. In Indy, she worked at Shepherd Community Center, where she taught Bible class and first-grade to low-income Hispanic families.
Jim Hippensteel, Pastor of Compassion and Care
Jim has been with The Well since the beginning. Over the years Jim has shown to be a man with a heart for God and people. Jim and his wife, Kelly, have an adult daughter and are great parents to Precious, the dog. You will find Jim after every service ready and willing to pray with anyone in need.
Marcy Hawkins, Frontline Ministry Coordinator
Marcy joined The Well staff in the Spring of 2014. Prior to moving back to Huntington, Marcy served as the hospitality/welcome coordinator for a church in Northern Kentucky. Marcy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Huntington University and currently works at HU as their Director of Alumni Relations/Director of the Forester Fund. She and her husband Nathan have two children, Jack and Molly.
Abby Mitchell, Small Groups Coordinator
Abby has been a part of The Well since it's beginning. She is married to Bart, and they have there children (Nolan, Reese, and Lawson), along with a slew of animals. Abby is a Nurse Practitioner for Parkview Physicians Group OB/GYN in Huntington. She has always been very active in the church, whether it being singing on the worship team, helping to organize women's conferences, and now organizing and helping people get connected through small groups. She is passionate about people connecting with Christ and growing in their faith.
Colton Punches, Middle School Youth
Colton, a senior at Huntington University, was born and raised in Clare Michigan. His major is Sports Management, and he is also on the Huntington baseball team. Colton started attending the well regularly his sophomore year of college, and has served as a greeter and as an usher for our weekly services. On of his highlights while a student at HU was going on a mission trip to Nicaragua with Pastor Josh and several other Huntington baseball players. Colton's goal is to be a vessel of Christ to the middle schoolers he works with, and to help build their relationship with Jesus.
Andrew Edmonds, Technical Director
Andrew has been a part of The Well since the beginning. He is married to Samantha, and they have one daughter, Madilyn. Andrew works at Huntington University as the Technical Director for the Merillat Centre for the Arts. At the Well, he oversees all the technical aspects of the worship service including sound, lighting, video, and stage design. Occasionally he also plays bass guitar on the worship team. Andrew leads a team of dedicated technicians every Sunday to make sure that the worship and message can be seen and heard. His goal is to use technology to enhance the worship experience and not distract from it.
