"We are a relational church." - Josh Kesler, Senior Pastor
Our Service (in a nutshell)
On Sunday mornings, you can find about 200 people gathered at our church building on Old US 24. Prior to service, many of those people grab a cup of coffee, a cinnamon roll, and catch up with one another (fellowship). The service begins with a welcome, brief announcements, then the worship team leads us in a time of musical worship, including songs, scripture and prayer. One of our pastors then shares a message based on God's word (the Bible). We continue our worship with a time of offering (giving back). Service closes with a time of response (usually a song). After the service, fellowship continues as we get ready to begin a new week. Our worship service lasts about an hour, give or take a few minutes. However, we do like variety, so you may come in on a Sunday morning and see something different. We desire to have a fresh, relevant worship service, first and foremost, focusing on and glorifying God.
Authentic Worship
Each week we join together to seek Christ in a group setting. We believe that making the commitment to worship together affirms our need to be surrounded by a Christ-centered community that is a small part of God’s greater kingdom throughout the world.
We believe that as creative beings in the image of God, our gifts will display God’s story of redemption for the world through Christ. Our services feature a time for all of us to study and be challenged with scripture. We also pray and sing together. Our band plays many styles of music, but most often would be considered modern.
Community
We believe in the Holy Trinity. Therefore, we worship God the Father while seeking to be like His son Jesus. We know that this is done best by being sensitive to the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
While we love to gather together, we believe that the most effective way that we can worship God is in how we live our lives outside of the gathered church. We firmly believe that each and every moment of our lives when we are separated from one another will have the greatest impact on our family, friends, and co-workers for Jesus Christ.
Affiliation
The Church of the United Brethren in Christ, USA, consists of about 200 churches and other ministries in the United States. We are part of an international United Brethren fellowship which includes work in 18 countries. You want labels? Try these. We are evangelical. Arminian (pretty much). Conservative (but not fundamentalist). Kingdom-minded. Non-legalistic. Bible-centered. Good-natured.
Come As You Are
Come as you are. Attire is casual. So be comfortable with what you wear and who you are.
Giving Back
We believe that giving (or offering) is a continuation of our worship. Choosing how you give is between you and God. God calls us to give joyfully and intentionally, and through our giving, He is glorified in the works His gifts enable.
Children's Area
We have a dynamic and loving Children's program. All of our leaders have background checks and are fully equipped to serve and teach children. Kid's check-in is located at the East Entrance.
