This week's message is called Run the Race. We run a race of faith. Faith is being confident in God when we don't have all of the answers. God calls us to a life of faith and not a life of certainty. That is difficult for us to grasp and harder to live with. Paul embarked on his race with no clear answers and he finished with even fewer. However, knowing that he had been obedient to God and followed The Holy Spirit, he could die with the confidence that he had chosen God's will for his life and not his own.
In this message, Josh Kesler looks at the significance of Jesus teaching on the Holy Spirit. We also celebrate the day of Pentecost as it served to mark the arrival of God's Holy Spirit and began to empower the growth of the church of Jesus Christ. Prior to listening to this message, please read Acts 2:1-21 as it is referred to but not taught on directly.
In this message, Josh Kesler takes an in-depth look at the final section in Jesus' High Priestly Prayer. This is found in John 17:20-26. Jesus prays for himself, his disciples and the disciples that will come to know Jesus because of the testimony of his disciples. The implications of our need to be personally involved in the discipleship process are evident and challenging. Also included in the podcast is a prayer for our Huntington University Graduating Seniors. They have served their church faithfully in the four years of their student careers, please join us in praying for them as they transition into a new chapter of life.
If you miss a Sunday or want to hear one of the sermons again, this is the place for you!
