This week Marvin McNew, our Pastor of Worship and Communications, continues our Discipleship Tool Belt Series with instruction on Worship as an act of discipleship. Worship is focusing on and responding to God, Conducted in Spirit and in Truth, expected both publicly and privately, and a discipline to be learned and practiced. This week we are including the entire worship service (minus announcements) as the songs are an important aspect of the message. Also, the message is broken up into three parts, with songs between each section.
In this message, Josh Kesler talks about the concept of generosity. Generosity does not have a monetary value. Generosity it is centered on the lack attachment to the things of this world. God gave us the directive to be generous because he knows that lack of attachment is the only escape from a corrupted worldly value system. A true lack of attachment will free us to enjoy all that he has for us. When we don’t depend on the things of this world, we will have to depend on God.
If you miss a Sunday or want to hear one of the sermons again, this is the place for you!
