Advent is a great time to recenter around Christ as the center of our life. He is the light in the center of our lives.
With every candle or Christmas light that we see this season, may we remember the one true light that came into the world to save us all.
The reason for Christmas is simply this, "I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness." John 12:46
This week, we begin our advent series titled, "With Us".
John 1:14 says, "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
The eternal, infinite God became a man in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and made his dwelling not only with us but as one of us. Let's ponder what this means during this advent season!
Why me? What difference can I make?
Imagine God calling you on the journey of a lifetime.....would you put it off or recommend someone else for the calling?
When impossible situations are attempted and God's miraculous capabilities are involved, that's when the impossible becomes memorable.
Pastor Josh continues our study of Ephesians.
"Attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ..." - Ephesians 4:13
One role of the church is to bring people to spiritual maturity that is grounded in correct understanding of the scriptures.
People will believe or disbelieve the Bible long before they ever pick it up based on what they observe in us.
The wind and the waves of life are inevitable.
There may not be anything that will destroy an immature faith like the tossing wind and waves of pain, suffering or tragedy...
...Every one of us is one tragedy away from finding out what our faith is truly built upon.
Who are we when we hurt?
Continuing our study of Ephesians, we learn that Paul is not giving us a blueprint for "a church", he is giving us parameters for a "Christ-centered atmosphere."
One of the greatest callings of the church is to be an atmosphere that exhibits, promotes, encourages, and holds people accountable to living holy lives.
Who or what is the authority in your life?
Pastor Marvin shares from his heart on his last Sunday at The Well.
Today, I challenge you to get face to face with God. Open your heart and let Him speak fully to you.
Can you imagine your life fully engulfed in the presence of God?
How do we get there?
We love our brothers and sisters in Christ. We listen, we love, we love, we love.....
This week Pastor Josh continues our series from Ephesians and what it looks like to shape the culture of our church.
Questions to focus on from this message:
This week our guest speaker comes from The United Brethren in Church's main office. Mike Dittman is the Director of National Ministries of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, and today he is speaking about the role of the church, and where our hearts should be focused as disciples of Christ. This message gives a look at the future of The Well and the church God has called us to be.
This week Pastor Josh continues our series from Ephesians with a deeper look at Ephesians 4:11-12:
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
Our mission is to reach people for Jesus on a global scale and the local church is where we receive the necessary training, support, structure and accountability to complete that mission.
If you miss a Sunday or want to hear one of the sermons again, this is the place for you!
